2:22 – A GHOST STORY

Theatre of the Supernatural

Diving into the supernatural world of "2:22 A Ghost Story" was an adventure in marketing. We spooked audiences ​with tantalizing teasers, jump scares, and mysterious hints, immersing them in the eerie atmosphere of the play. By ​leaning into the spooky vibes, we hooked their interest and got them excited to experience the spectral thrills ​waiting for them onstage.

In our marketing campaign, we highlighted the musicals fresh take on a beloved TV show, featured our incredibly talented, ​diverse cast, and invited audiences behind the scenes. Through teasers and sneak peeks, we showcased the creative process, ​promising an immersive experience for all.

    • A new trend in musical theatre marketing was showing performers in rehearsal. This helps tease out the songs and musical ​style if it’s a new musical and the incredible talent of the cast. Our first video for this show was Peppermint (RuPaul’s Drag ​Race) performing “Chosen Family” with the cast.

    • One of the best ways to talk about new work is to hear directly from the people who made it. I had the pleasure of ​interviewing writers Joey Soloway, Faith Soloway, and MJ Kauffman about their work.
